Notes

Easter Seals offers many options for people of all ages to enjoy camp experiences. We also have an extensive network of camp resources both locally and throughout New England. For over 50 years, Easter Seals has specialized in finding appropriate summer programming for children and young adults with disabilities.

Easter Seals Massachusetts partners with residential camping programs in both Connecticut and Maine:

Agassiz Village in Poland Maine offers a typical camp program for youth with and without disabilities ages 8-13. A Teen Leadership Program for youth ages 14-17 is also available, however, space is limited. All Agassiz Village camp activities are inclusive for campers. Professional training on inclusion in a summer camp setting is provided for all camp staff. Easter Seals also hires an inclusion specialist who works at the camp full time.

Camp Hemlocks is in Hebron, Connecticut. Its programming is geared for campers with moderate to severe disabilities. Easter Seals refers campers ages 8-30 to the camp. The facility is equipped with wheelchair accessible trails, cabins, heated indoor swimming pool, and boat & fishing docks.
