Footloose Sailing Association, a Seattle-based non-profit, features trained volunteers and specially-equipped sailboats, offering people with disabilities an opportunity to find confidence, independence, and success on the water.
Whether a passenger, a student, or competitor, our members are stretching their perceptions of what they can do.
Footloose is home to a fleet of vessels outfitted to handle a variety of disabilities. We use the latest accessibility innovations, such as adaptive seats, joystick steering mechanisms, and mechanized transfer lifts. Using the best innovations available internationally, we make sailing safe, fun, and rewarding for everyone.
Our sailing events are held from May through October, and you can sail with us on Lake Washington, Lake Union, or Puget Sound. There are no limits to fun at Footloose.
