Arthritis - The Water Works
The water works is a water exercise class especially designed for the person with arthritis. Our goals are to help you maintain and increase range of motion and strength, and to motivate the individual to exercise and have fun. Water is especially beneficial to those who choose to exercise in it as it reduces the effects of gravity so that there is less strain on the joints, while at the same time, the water's buoyancy supports and cushions your entire body. Exercises are held in the shallow end and deep end. Swimming ability is not a requirement. Doctor's permission is suggested.
