Adaptive Sports
The Therapeutic Recreation Division offers, along with its partners, several adaptive sports programs. These sports programs are designed for people with physical and/or developmental disabilities.

• Challenger Little League (Spring sport)

• BeepBall (for players who are Blind or Visually Impaired)

Challenger Little League
Challenger Little League is offered in conjunction with Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation Division, and Dilworth Little League. This program offers youth and teens with disabilities a barrier free opportunity to participate in an organized sport. This year we are taking the league one step further by offering a traveling team and practice opportunities for those looking to play to their fullest potential.
