General Description

For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum provides a unique setting for interactive experiences with nature. The grounds feature seven miles of marked trails that will take you to some of the most interesting areas at For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum. It features 383 acres of land including seven ponds, mature forests, fields and an arboretum. Staffed by a professional naturalist and horticulturist, the Visitor Center provides educational programs and activities for people of all ages. The Visitor Center is home to an extensive collection of flora and fauna found native to Michigan, including over 130 mounted animals, live reptiles, games, and hands-on activities that provide unique learning experiences.
