General Description
The Mountain Bridge Wilderness area is 10,883 acres of scenic vistas and waterfalls in northern Greenville County along the North Carolina border. This area of the Blue Ridge Escarpment is divided into two state parks, Caesars Head on the west and Jones Gap on the east. A series of hiking trails connect the two parks, encompassing a natural bounty of flora and fauna set against breathtaking mountainous terrain.

The Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area offers trailside backcountry camping at 24 primitive campsites. Eighteen sites provide fire pits, while six allow no fires. Permits are required & camping is allowed in designated areas only. Campers are asked to follow internationally recognized "leave no trace" camping practices. Hiking Trails: A network of easy to strenuous hiking trails in the Mountain Bridge Recreation Area links Caesars Head & Jones Gap state parks.
