General Description

Cooper Lake, a relatively new state park, offers a variety of both land and water-based recreational opportunities. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking sunsets and spectacular scenery by boat, foot, or horseback. Day visitors can picnic under towering oak trees, swim at the sandy beach, explore developed trails or, boat and fish on the 19,300-acre lake. Overnighters can choose from well-appointed cabins, shelters and developed or primitive campsites, including equestrian sites.
