General Description
A State Historic Site, set at the actual location of the Spanish fort of Our Lady of Pilar of the Adaes. It is also the last known point of the El Camino Real or the Kings Road which ran from our site to Mexico City, and was the major road way for the Spanish Roman Catholic missions. It is a simplistic site designed to provide information to visitors and to protect the archaeological record. We have a small picnic area and are mostly accessible.
