General Description
    Fort Harrison State Park is a 1800 acre site that was once Fort Benjamin Harrison, located in Lawrence, Indiana, on the north-east side of Indianapolis.

    The State Park was created in 1996 after Fort Harrison was closed as part of the base-realignment program that eliminated the need for Fort Harrison as a training facility. The State Park is a beautiful blend of early 20th century military buildings and preserved natural area on the south side of Fall Creek.

    Facilities include day-use hiking trails, horse back riding through concession, 18 hole golf course, Inn w/dining & conference facilities, lodging.
