General Description
    Castle Rocks is a dramatic geologic landscape. Pinnacles and monoliths, towering 350 feet or more in local relief, characterize the area. Predominant vegetation include: sagebrush, juniper, mountain mahogany and pinon tree. An estimated 400 species of plants can be found. The more interesting wildlife include mule deer, elk, mountain lion, coyote, bobcat, and badger. An estimated 115 bird species have been documented. Currently the most popular recreation is climbing, the park also offers horseback riding, mountain biking, hunting, picnicking and outstanding photography.
