General Description
Newly renovated in 2005, Bond Falls Scenic Site is one of the western U.P.s most popular waterfalls. The falls are created as the middle branch of the Ontonagon river tumbles over a thick belt of fractured rock, dividing it into numerous small cascades. Featured in many travel ads, Bond Falls is popular with not only waterfall enthusiasts, hikers, and fishermen, but photographers and artists as well. Completely ADA accessible, this breathtaking 50 ft. waterfall is a must see for anyone traveling through the area. The parking area with vault toilets and small picnic area, paved trail, 600 ft. of boardwalk, bridges over the Ontonagon River, and three viewing platforms make reaching and viewing the falls effortless. Hiking trails along the river lead to the upper falls and into the surrounding forest.
