General Description
Nestled on Virginia''s Eastern Shore, Kiptopeke State Park is a premier location providing fishing, boating, swimming, biking, hiking, birdwatching and camping opportunities along the Chesapeake Bay. The site of Kiptopeke State Park was purchased by the Virginia Ferry Corporation for the northern terminus of the ferry which traveled from Virginia Beach to the Eastern Shore. Nine concrete WWII Liberty ships provided a water break just off the park''s beach and pier area.
