General Description
Monadnock State Park is known has the second most climbed mountain in the world. There are over 40 miles of trails on the mountain. The park also offers camping, picnicking, and cross-country skiing in the winter. Even though the park is very popular for day use hiking the campground is not always full. In addition a new campground is being built over at our Gilson Pond Area. The trails on Monadnock are rugged and strenuous. The shortest route to the summit is a 4 hour 4 mile round trip hike. Our campground is tent camping only but some sites can hold a small self contained pop-up, or trailer.
