General Description

Popular for picnicking and camping, New Germany State Park lies within the boundaries of Savage River State Forest. Many of the recreational facilities were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s. Park features include: boat launch, boat rental, four-season cabins, cross country skiing, camp fire programs, camp sites, camp store/snack bar, dump station, fishing, flat water canoeing, hiking trail, historic interest, picnic shelters, picnicking swimming, nature center. Pets are prohibited.
