General Description
Feliz Paseos Park is located 15 minutes west of downtown Tucson in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains in the lush Sonoran Desert. The 50 acre park was designed and developed to provide people with disabilities an opportunity to experience "hiking" on native soil trails. The park has a large group ramada (shade structure) with accessible restrooms, drinking fountains and seat walls. There are also three smaller shade ramadas to provide respite from the Arizona sun. One of the shade ramadas is adjacent to the Camino de Oeste Wash providing park users the opportunity to view wildlife that may be using the wash.

In addition there is a quarter mile asphalt paved trail with interpretive signs (with audio) on the flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert. From the paved trail, each hiker has the opportunity to undertake one of several of the dirt tread trails that are signed using the Universal Trail Assessment Program (UTAP) indicating grade, cross slope, tread conditions and distance to allow the park user to determine whether or not they want to undertake the challenge. There are over a mile of dirt tread trails. All elements in the park are accessible.
