General Description

River Cats Independence Field is a 200 foot regulation baseball facility. The most notable feature of this field is its rubberized surface, from backstop to outfield fence. This surface makes it user friendly to individuals who use wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and individuals with mobility impairments. The field is located next to the Samuel Pannel Community Center which contains a fully accessible pool. This facility is coviently locate close to public transportation. Consession stand and bathrooms are accessible as well. Accessible Picnic area and special storage building will be a part of the facility when phase 2 is completed in July 06.
