General Description
A gently curving ADA accessible boardwalk leads visitors across a tidal wetland, past a small wetland, and along a restored stream. In the fall (usually November), chum salmon return to the stream to spawn within feet of visitors. Students from the University of Washington Public Arts Program created interpretive sculptures ranging from a 26'' salmon skeleton to tiny, life-sized bronze amphibian replicas. The trail is open Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, closed weekends and Federal Holidays. The trail is open weekends 10:00am to 4:00pm the first three weeks in November when the chum are spawning.
