General Description
Tallac Historic Site is comprised on three historic estates: The Baldwin Estate (c.1923), Pope Estate (c.1894) and the Heller Estate (c.1924). The Baldwin Estate is the museum center for the site, and offers exhibits on the native culture, The Washoe, as well as an exhibit on Lucky Baldwin. There is a 13 minute video available to view here as well as knowledgeable staff available for your questions.

The Pope Estate is a historic home which can only be seen on our guided tours. The structure is not accessible, so we have recorded a tour on DVD, which is available upon request in the Baldwin Museum.

The Heller Estate, Valhalla, is operated by the non profit Tahoe Tallac Association, a cultural arts supporter. In the boathouse theater and the main house the organization offers concerts, plays and art displays, but the faiclities can also be rented for weddings and other special events.
