• Mind Over Matters is a 501 c 3 non-profit therapeutic riding center for children with physical, mental and emotional challenges. We operate year round services within Fresno County.

  Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals and families within the community who suffer from physical, mental, social or emotional challenges through partnering with animals in animal assisted therapy and experiential learning; including but not limited to horsemanship, horseback riding, hands on farm experience and other special events.

  The therapeutic interventions take place during a variety of specific and individually designed equine assisted therapeutic activities. The types of activities include but are not limited to the following examples: Handling, grooming & feeding of the horse; Developmental exercises and games while on the moving horse�s back; Experiences astride, where the participant increasingly directs the horse�s movement; Observations and interpretation of the horse and of horse herd behaviors.

Mind Over Matters adheres to safety and quality control standards established and promoted by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA).
