Description
  • Our Mission

Heartland Horse Heroes mission is to provide and support equestrian activities for individuals who have mental, physical, emotional, social challenges or learning disabling conditions.

    Our Vision of the Future

Operation of a year-round NARHA accredited facility (100-plus acre property with 20-stall stable, fenced pastures, riding/horse driving trails, covered arena, outdoor arenas, building with tack room, bathroom, office and classroom, tractor and farm equipment) providing equine activities and hippotherapy with 20 full-time program horses to the surrounding counties through community based partnerships to enhance existing programs.

    About us

Heartland Horse Heroes (HHH) is a division of Healing Paws and Claws, Inc., an International Delta society Affiliate, and 501c3 organization, established in 1999 as a grass roots effort in Blackstone, VA to provide Animal Assisted Therapy and Activities in the community of Central and Southside Virginia. Until June 2008 most of our efforts have been with dogs. To operate, seven volunteers are required per participant. As HHH grows, so will the need for volunteers. Without the generosity and dedication of our volunteers operation would not be possible.

    Registration

Registration is accepted on a first come first serve basis. This is measured by post mark for all completed applications who meet HHH criteria to available spots in the program. Please feel free to send in your packet even after registration is closed as HHH will apply it to the next open spot available within a 12 month period. checks will not be cashed unless a spot is available, otherwise they will be returned and the packet held for the remaining 12 months if the applicant wishes to be put on a waiting list.
