  • Technology Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID) is a federal project funded under Public Law 100-407 by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), US Department of Education. TRAID supports the development of state-wide consumer-responsive technical assistance programs for persons with disabilities. New York State's TRAID Project is administered by the NYS Commission on Quality of Care and Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities (CQCAPD). They provide technical assistance, for adults and children, and training on assistive technology in conjunction with 15 regional technology centers. They also offer office equipment for people with disabilities.
