Description
  • In 1947, Aspire of Western New York (formerly UCP of WNY) was formed by a small group of parents in order to secure support and services for their children with cerebral palsy.

Throughout the years, Aspire of WNY, as well as UCP National, has expanded to include individuals with other disabilities. In fact, individuals with cerebral palsy comprise only 35% of those served by Aspire of WNY.

Aspire serves individuals with developmental disabilities which include conditions causing mental or physical limitations and occur before the age of 22. Aspire also provides services and support to persons who are challenged physically and cognitively as a result of traumatic brain injuries, strokes, hearing and visual impairment, as well as other disabling conditions.

Individuals with disabilities are active, contributing members of Western New York. More importantly, they are a major part of who we are as a community. The gifts they bring to the fabric of this area cannot be duplicated.

Through state-of-the-art programs and services, Aspire of WNY works toward community inclusion and a fulfilling, productive life for all individuals with a disability.
