In addition, the Foundation provides support for important community relations initiatives throughout Target Corporation.

Notes

In 1946, Target Corporation, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, became a founding member of the "Five Percent Club," a landmark movement encouraging U.S. corporations to commit five percent of federally taxable income to support community nonprofits. As a result of our commitment to sustained community giving, the Target Foundation was established.

In keeping with our strong tradition of giving, Target Corporation will give over $2 million every single week to the communities we serve.

Target Foundation, in support of its family of giving programs at Target Stores, Marshall Field's and Mervyn's, enhances the quality of life in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area by supporting local arts and social service programs.

Target Foundation charitable giving is limited to organizations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.

If your organization is outside of this area, you may be eligible for funding through one of Target Corporation's other giving programs at Target Stores, Marshall Fields, or Mervyns. Each division has its own priorities and review process. If your community has any one of our stores, you may contact the Store Manager for application procedures.
