Description
The Western Association of Persons with Vision Impairment serves persons with vision impairments in the "lower mainland" (Vancouver BC Canada) by offering educational, recreational, and social opportunities.
The purpose of the society is:
To create networking, educational, recreational and social opportunities for persons who are visually impaired.
To promote health through the establishment of fitness groups.
To create a drop in center for members to meet and pursue educational and social activities.
To act as an advocacy group advancing the interests of persons with vision impairment.
To co-operate with other established groups in the pursuit of these purposes.
