• SRACLC is an Association formed by cooperative Member Agencies to provide community based Therapeutic Recreation services to individuals with disabilities and their families. Member Agencies provide the primary source of operational revenue through a property tax levy available to park districts and municipalities who have entered into a cooperative agreement or through a general fund.

  SRACLC offers over 400 weekly programs, special events, and camps during the year. The Association utilizes local park districts, recreation departments, schools, and private facilities for programming purposes.

  The mission of the SRACLC Foundation is to provide financial support to SRACLC as well as increase awareness of recreation opportunities for people with special needs.

  SRACLC understands that not every person with a special need must participate in special recreation. SRACLC staff can help with questions regarding the appropriateness of any individual’s participation in local recreation programs. SRACLC Member Agencies are committed to the provision of recreational services to all residents.
