What is Turning P.O.I.N.T.?
Turning P.O.I.N.T. sponsors many opportunities for people with physical disabilities of Texas to camp, fish, sail, scuba dive, hunt, water ski, or just take pictures from a pontoon boat while cruising through the scenic swamps of East Texas. But most of all, Turning P.O.I.N.T. sponsors an idea: that it's okay to get together with other persons with disabilities without feeling embarassed or that your settling for less. Turning P.O.I.N.T. provides opportunities and equipment for independent and safe outings. In addition to special Turning P.O.I.N.T.-sponsored activities, members can learn about and participate in all wheelchair sports including billiards, basketball, tennis, golf, skeet shooting and bowling .
