In 1914, George Fillauer Sr. founded the Red Star Pharmacy, the forerunner of Fillauer. In 1934, Carlton Fillauer, CPO, expanded his father’s business to establish Fillauer Orthopedic as an innovator in the orthotics and prosthetics industry. Presently, Fillauer Companies, Inc., is comprised of the following subsidiaries, Fillauer LLC, Hosmer, Center for Orthotics Design, Motion Control, Fillauer Europe, Fillauer North Carolina, Fillauer Composites and Fillauer Orthotic and Prosthetics Patient Care. Fillauer Companies, Inc. has grown to be a globally renowned leader in the development, manufacturing, distribution and application of orthotic and prosthetic products.
