Are you interested in learning how to ensure that your policies, programs, sites and facilities are accessible to all people? Would you like to become a Certified Inclusivity Assessor to conduct an assessment of your own facility? Then you should attend Inclusion U!

The cost of this training is $95.00 and pre-registration is required.

Since its founding in January 2007, the New York State Inclusive Recreation Resource Center, funded by the NYS Developmental Disabilities Planning Council has quickly become a state-wide training resource for recreation and outdoor education providers who want to learn about inclusion and accessibility. Our free full-day training, Inclusion U, teaches providers about the best practices in inclusion and certifies attendees to be able to use the Inclusivity Assessment Tool to assess a broad range of recreation spaces and places, including environmental education centers, parks, museums, gift shops, campgrounds, and many more. To date, over 750 people have been trained to become Inclusivity Assessors, many of whom have made significant contributions to increasing inclusion at their facilities.

Information collected during assessments is available in an on-line database to assist people with disabilities be able to better plan their recreation.
