The Oregon Institute on Disability & Development is seeking an experienced data analyst to fill a full-time grant funded position within the Center on Community Accessibility. The responsibilities of this position include: 1. Database management and manipulation (e.g. merging multiple years of large data sets, becoming familiar with several hundred variables of interest, recoding and creating new variables, maintaining annotated records). 2. Study design (e.g. working with project investigators to identify best variables and coding schemes for analysis, reporting on interim analysis and working with project team to fine-tune models). 3. Data analysis, including exploratory analysis and building multivariate regression models using weighted population-based data.

Qualifications

Required: Graduate degree in public health or related field. At least 3 years of research experience (may be concurrent with degree study). Experience with analyzing complex population-based survey data. Extensive knowledge of linear and logistic regression modeling and related data analysis techniques. Background in health disparities research; health outcomes research; health care delivery systems research; or using health care expenditure, utilization, or quality data. Preferred: working knowledge of disability issues and disability epidemiology.
