The Training Associate II for the Institute for Community Inclusion will develop and deliver training, technical assistance (TA) and related activities to increase the participation of individuals with disabilities in AmeriCorps, Senior Corps and Learn & Serve America programs, funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). The Training Associate II will: conduct outreach and enhance the capacity of national service and volunteer sector grantees, disability organizations and UCEDDs to meaningfully engage individuals with disabilities as active members and volunteers in all programs and activities; assist in the development and ongoing support of state-based inclusion teams and strategic planning initiatives; identify, document and disseminate successful members/volunteer experiences and promising practices from the national service and volunteer sector; develop and address complex disability inclusion technical assistance requests and create resource materials; create and submit, with the project manager, progress reports as required by CNCS; be responsible for working with NSIP national partners to obtain necessary data; assist in the selection and supervision of junior staff and student interns; work with other ICI staff to increase collaboration and cohesiveness across projects and focus areas; responsible for insuring that the data needs for project management, evaluation and quality assurance activities are available and maintained; generate required reports and summaries from data; and develop and disseminate a wide range of products in accordance with project goals and Institute initiatives in collaboration with team members and dissemination staff.

Requirements: Master\\\'s degree required. Required: 3-5 years of previous experience in providing training and technical assistance for consumers, community based agency personnel or others addressing the issues of inclusion of individuals in national service; analytical skills to respond to complex technical assistance requests, collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems and offer insights into program impacts; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations; and national travel. Personal and/or professional experience in national and community service and/or volunteer programs highly desirable.
