This position is located within the Office of Quality and Data (OQD), Quality Branch, Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Department of Health and Human Services, (DHHS).

Duties:

• Serve as Branch Chief, supervising Branch staff and providing administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the Branch.
• Provides leadership and oversight on day to day management of the Health Center and Free Clinic Medical Malpractice Liability Program, including program policy development and the review of applications for program participation.
• Directs public health initiatives/programs that assists the Bureau in advancing innovative approaches in these public health areas; clinical and operational quality improvement, risk management, accreditation and National quality recognition.
• Serves as an agency expert and coordinator by representing and speaking for the Office/Bureau in meetings and conferences with a variety of stakeholders.
• Provides expert advice and guidance on problems facing an agency having responsibility for a program of national scope and impact; prepares written materials including reports and other working documents that provide authoritative guidance on complex and wide-impacting program issues.
