POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION IN COGNITIVE ASPECTS OF DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, Department of Psychology, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. 2-year position to begin as early as June 1 and as late as October 1, 2010. Collaborate on research examining cognitive aspects of autism spectrum disorders, Down Syndrome, and other developmental and intellectual disabilities (e.g., implicit learning, wayfinding, attention, reading). This will include helping with ongoing studies, designing and carrying out pilot studies, analyzing data, and supervising student researchers. Collaborative grant preparation is the major focus of this position. Candidates should have a Ph.D. (completed or expected) in a field related to developmental disabilities, such as clinical child psychology, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, communicative disorders, educational psychology, or special education. Candidates should have an interest in developmental disabilities, cognition, neuroimaging, and grantsmanship, and should be highly interested in collaborating with a group of faculty and graduate students. Skills in project management, writing, and statistical analysis are highly desirable.
