Position Summary: The National Coalition to Promote Physical Activity (NCPPA) is seeking a dynamic, strategic-thinking executive director to lead the organization in its work to promote physical activity policy and strategic initiatives at the national level. NCPPA is a multi-sector coalition with diverse representation from health organizations, government liaisons, associations, and private corporations collectively committed to the promotion of physical activity as viable means to combat chronic disease and related health issues.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor�s Degree Required, Advanced Degree (Master�s Degree (M.S./M.A., MBA, MPH, MPA), Ph.D.) preferred.

2. Proven track record applying the management principles and practices of a non-profit organization.

3. Experience with developing strategic partnerships (government, non-profit and corporate) at a national level

4. An understanding of national and state policy priorities around physical activity and fitness.

5. Track record for innovation in creating organizational growth.

6. Proven applied skills in applying the principles and practices of planning, budgeting, including growing the NCPPA budget through grant writing and sponsorships and fiscal responsibility.

7. Demonstrated collaborative team-building skills, including recruitment, development, and leadership.

8. Excellent communication and consulting skills, the ability to make presentations on behalf of the Coalition at national meetings, and the appropriate use of applied technology across relevant media outlets (e.g., phone, email, social media, internet).
