This grant making organization is dedicated to increasing resources and opportunities for women and girls in the greater Chicago area. The Foundation promotes increased investment in women and girls, raises awareness about their issues and potential, and develops them as leaders and philanthropists.

Grants range from $15,000 to $50,000.

In spring 2011, Chicago Foundation for Women will make grants from the General Fund, the Sophia Fund for Advocacy and the Irene Bayrach Anti-Violence Legacy Fund. Throughout the year, grants will be made from the Strategic Response Fund.
