Lakeshore Foundation is currently seeking an energetic, creative, resourceful, self starter with exposure or experience in programming for a variety of adapted sports and recreation programs for severely injured service men and women injured in the global war on terrorism.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor�s degree in recreational therapy or adapted physical education preferred: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Certified Adapted Physical Educator and other similar certifications are desired and welcomed.
• Self motivated, enthusiastic, and a strong desire to learn highly desired, individual�s comfortable working with kids of all ages a plus.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing recreation and adapted sport programming for persons with physical disabilities and visual impairments as normally acquired through 1-3 years of prior experience in the field.
• Ability to work flexible hours; evening and weekend work required.
• Commitment to working in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills
• CPR, Standard First Aid and AED desired (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
