"Charting the Future In Developmental and Learning Disabilities"

The five-day conference will feature more than 300 prominent speakers from throughout the United States and abroad. More than 150 seminars and workshops will focus on key issues, including:

  • Advocacy, Self-determination, Sexuality/Socialization, Positive Behavioral Support, Aging, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Challenging Behaviors, Clinical Issues, Early Childhood, Family Supports, Inclusion, Employment, Health Care, Residential/Day Services, Women's Issues, Workforce
  • Two post-conference workshops are scheduled for Friday, May 4th. Carol Gray, Director of The Gray Center for social Learning and Understanding, will host a session �Solving the Social Equation in Autism Spectrum Disorders.� Dr. Thomas E. Pomeranz, President and C.E.O. of Universal LifeStiles, will present on �Positive Behavioral Supports: Best Practice Strategies for Addressing Challenging Behavior.�
  • The Premier HealthCare Training Institute will host its 6th Annual One-Day Conference on Autism, on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, 8 A.M.-3 P.M.
  • The Women�s Center at Premier HealthCare will present �Women with Disabilities: Claiming Our Bodies,� a full-day conference on Monday, April 30, 2007, from 9 A.M.-3:30 P.M.
  • Dr. Colleen Wieck, Executive Director Minnesota Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities will discuss past accomplishments and the future of the disabilities field in her presentation titled �A Half Century of Evolution of Community Services, Charting our Future for the Next Decade."
