The Six P's

Remember our 6 P’s to staying organized in the kitchen:

  1. Print - Print out the recipe so that you can have it in front of you while you're cooking.
  2. Pen - Grab a pen to cross off the steps that you have already done so that you can keep track of where you are in the recipe.
  3. Purchase – Go to the grocery store armed with a list so that you can make sure you have everything you need.
  4. Prep – Lay out ingredients in the order they are listed on the recipe. Measure and chop your ingredients before starting the recipe. Only pull out what you need for the recipe, put everything else in your workspace away.
  5. Prompt – Set timers so that you don’t forget about food and set reminders on your phone or Alexa to turn off the oven so that you don’t forget.
  6. Play – Last but not least, have fun. Cooking is all about getting creative and trying new things. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
