• Dancing Wheels has developed into the worldwide leading professional dance company of highly-skilled dancers with and without disabilities that presents education programs and performances at home and throughout the state of Ohio, the nation, and abroad--annually reaching over 120,000 individuals.

  The vision of Professional Flair/Dancing Wheels is to promote accessibility to the arts for all, making the arts inclusive, not exclusive. The mission is to educate, integrate, and employ people with and without disabilities in the arts through outreach activities, public performances and advocacy. Inherent in that mission is the inclusion of other underserved populations, such as the economically disadvantaged, the elderly, and youth at risk--all who share similar barriers in gaining accessibility to the arts.

  The School of Dancing Wheels offers a full range of Community Dance Classes, summer dance workshops, theatre arts camps and teacher-training workshops in our fully accessible, state of the art studios for students of all ages and abilities.
  Accessible areas include--locker rooms, shower facilities, parking area, ramps, and the front desk. Staff is certified in Exercise Science with some coursework in disability, Adapted Physical Education or Therapeutic Recreation, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, ACSM Certification, and ACE Certification.

Current programs include:

• Community Dance Classes-- for ages 4 years and older, is an inclusive class
• Adult Activity Center Classes-- for ages 22 years and older, is specifically for people with disabilities
• Summer Dance Workshop I-- for ages 7-15 years, and is inclusive
• Summer Dance Workshop II-- for ages 16 years and older, and is inclusive

Adaptive equipment includes; portable barres, pilates equipment, audio description, sign interpretation, and assistants to "shadow".
