Harding Middle School Takes Top Prize in "Inclusive Physical Education and Physical Activity Video Contest"

Harding Middle School (Cedar Rapids Community School District, IA) won the $1,000 1st Place Prize in the 2016 Let’s Move! Active Schools Inclusive Physical Education and Physical Activity Video Contest. 

From Oct. 6 – Dec. 6, 2016, U.S. schools were invited to create a short video demonstrating at least one physical education or physical activity best practice for meeting the needs of students with disabilities, ultimately create an inclusive environment that meets the needs of all students.

More than 30 schools from across the country entered the contest, showcasing adaptations and modifications to physical education activities such as exercises, games, rhythms, and sports to ensure students of all ability levels are able to engage in physical activity.

NACCHO Health and Disability Fellowship Program

The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is currently recruiting for the Health and Disability Fellowship program. This fellowship is an invaluable workforce development opportunity for graduate level students and recent alumni interested in getting hands on experience in the public health disability field.
