Notes

Therapeutic riding works its magic with individuals of all ages who suffer with a variety of physical, emotional, and learning impediments. Because horseback riding gently and rhythmically moves the rider's body in a manner similar to a human gait, riders with physical disabilities often show improvement in flexibility, balance and muscle strength. Stretching and grooming exercises further increase control and range of motion. The ability to control a horse as well as one's own body inspires self-confidence, responsibility and teamwork. Best of all, it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience, which creates a special relationship between rider and horse and promotes personal challenges.
