S.A.M.S. Riders, Inc. (Kalispell) is currently the only provider of therapeutic horseback riding sessions in Flathead County and immediate vicinity. S.A.M.S. is located at 330 Lore Lake Road on 7.5 acres with seven therapy horses. S.A.M.S. is designed to supplement traditional therapies, and in many cases is the therapy-of-choice in addressing multiple needs, effective in all areas of development and in all the sensory modalities.

Operated by Bob and Timothea Burmood, S.A.M.S. opened its doors, and its heart, in 1991 to provide therapeutic riding sessions to children and adults with a wide range of disabilities and health conditions, having since conducted over 10,000 therapeutic sessions.
