Notes

Camp Easter Seals Virginia offers therapeutic recreation, respite services, occupational and speech therapy, and residential camping experiences to children and adults with cognitive and physical disabilities.

From campfire sing-a-longs and late night ghost stories to boating and nature walks, swimming, and arts and crafts, Camp Easter Seals Virginia provides the same excitement and activities available at other summer camp programs. The difference? Camp Easter Seals Virginia campers experience the joys and challenges of camp in a fully accessible setting.

Easter Seals Virginia has a 50 year history of providing quality camping programs for people with physical and cognitive disabilities and is designed to offer children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy fun and challenging activities in a supportice and cooperative atmosphere.

Most camp sessions are six to twelve days in length, but we do offer a few twenty and twenty-six day sessions. A team of staff members, led by a unit leader, lives with campers to provide supervision and personal care assistance as needed. Staff to camper ratio is based on each individual's needs and the average ration is one staff member per two campers.

Easter Seals Virginia also offers an Adventure Camp for Teens/Young Adults with disabilities: Ages 14-23, and for Adults with disabilities: Ages 24 and up.
