North East Westchester Special Recreation is a community-based therapeutic recreation agency established in the early 1970s to serve children and adults with developmental disabilities in the northeast portion of Westchester County. Participating communities include Bedford, Briarcliff Manor, Lewisboro, Mt. Kisco, Mt. Pleasant, New Castle, North Castle, North Salem, Pleasantville, Pound Ridge, Sleepy Hollow and Somers.
North East programs offer a variety of year-round recreational activities designed for participant's success. Activities include swimming, basketball, dances, cooking classes and day and weekend trips, to name a few.
