Notes

We are a therapeutic horseback riding and education program with a mission to help people overcome lifes obstacles through equine interaction. Established in March of 2011, our program has 45 volunteers putting in over 2000 volunteers hours for FY 2013 to help 35 riders per week. All of our instructors are certified by PATH Intl (Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship International) and/or CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association. Our programs include: Equine Assisted Therapy (Therapeutic Horse Back Riding) teaching adaptive horseback riding to people with all types of disabilities. Our riders range in age from 4 to 90 with a myriad of disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, and blindness Special Olympics Equestrian Team has competed in two horse shows already, in preparation for the state competition in May Equine Assisted Learning helping teenage girls overcome trauma, PTSD and anxiety by learning to ride horses. Therapeutic Riding Instructor Training Program
