  • Bradford Woods is an auxiliary enterprise of Indiana University and is part of the academic mission of the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation and is a unit of the Department of Recreation and Park Administration. As a key component of the University family, Bradford Woods seeks to further and promote the mission of the University through the teaching, service, programs, and research Bradford Woods provides.

    We have been providing development opportunities to youth and adults locally, nationally, and globally for over fifty years. Established in 1941, we have grown to serve people from many cultures and corners of the world. Today we are leaders in experiential learning and are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art educational, recreational and professional programs and service to a wide variety of organizations.




Notes

Bradford Woods offers several different employment opportunities - seasonal, full time, internships, part time, nursing, administrative, maintenance, program staff, and many more. We hire over 100 staff annually with numerous positions available in fall, spring and summer.

Workshops - Workshops dedicated to both students and professionals seeking to develop skills in outdoor education, environmental education, group facilitation, and teaching persons with disabilities.

Retreats - Our natural environment, facilities, and staff allow for relaxation and the refocusing of creative energies on training programs, a leadership retreats, a problem-solving seminars, and more.

Consulting - With years of experience and qualified staff, we provide a spectrum of professional, educational, and recreational consultation services ranging from Experiential Training, Disability Awareness, Risk Management, and Environmental Education.

Research - Through Indiana University, we provide and support many research initiatives and student projects.

Summer Camps - We are host to many groups throughout the summer, and are well known as the best residential camping facility in the Midwest available to youth with disabilities.

Day Programming - We offer a wide range of single day programs ranging from team awareness and adventure recreation to environmental education modules such as wildlife and wetland studies.

Overnight Programming - We offer a wide range of overnight, weekend, and week long programs ranging from environmental education, to challenge leadership, to adventure recreation.
