The metro Chicago area will host two identical FREE Paralympic Goalball event on Friday, March 12th, from 11:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.

The Paralympic Clinic on Friday is hosted by SEASPAR from 11:30am to 4pm at the LaGrange Park District and the Paralympic Experience on Saturday is hosted by the Chicago Park District from 10am to 2pm at Davis Square Park.

Goalball is a sport for athletes who have visual disabilities. It is sometimes referred to as reverse dodge ball because blindfolded players use their bodies to dive for the ball and defend their goal. The ball has bells inside it so players can hear it.

Both days include lunch and feature a train the trainer session for coaches as well as a session for athletes of all levels of proficiency in the sport. Jen Armbruster, five time goalball Paralympian and gold medalist, will lead the athlete portions. John Potts, the Sports Director for the US Association of Blind Athletes, will lead the train the trainer portion for coaches.
