A panel of three graduate students and two post doctoral students will share their personal experiences working with diverse individuals with disabilities in five different countries. These countries include Cambodia, Israel, Korea, Pakistan, and Peru. Specifically, panel members will address the following topics: (1) the context (country and setting) in which they have experience working with individuals with disabilities; (2) the purpose of their visit to that specific country and in what capacity they worked with individuals with disabilities; (3) the views about disability programs and services available in that country; and (4) potential roles for OTs and rehabilitation professionals.

The Scholarship of Practice (SOP) lecture series features one-hour presentations designed to share evidence-based knowledge relevant to occupational therapy practice. Each SOP lecture is open to anyone, and no RSVP is required. Occupational therapy practitioners can earn 1.0 hour of CE credit for attending, as The UIC Department of Occupational Therapy is a licensed CE provider by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
