Day of Event Volunteer Positions
The CIRC website now has a sign-up form for all Day of Event volunteer positions along with a Volunteer Positions overview. To sign up please go to: http://www.chicagoindoorrowing.com/volunteers.htm

The following Pre-Event needs are not posted online and many for them can be done on your schedule from home or office. CIRC covers all related costs. Please email/contact me if you can do any of the following Pre-Event:

Work from Home:
US & World Records: 6 hours est. Deadline: Feb 22nd.
This involves searching the Concept2 online records to update our excel. Preliminary updating can be done now with a final review on Tuesday, February 22nd to see if any records were broken especially at CRASH Bs. The final excel is passed to our Signage Coordinator who will produce the large boards displayed at the event.

Signage Coordinator: 4 hrs est. Deadline: Feb 25th
30x24 inch signs are printed at FedX Office for US/World/CIRC Records for display at the event as well as handouts to competitors.

Adaptive Liaison: 6 hrs est.
Call area Special Recreation Associations (SRA) to remind them of the event and encourage participation. Most of them know who we are and are familiar with CIRC and the Adaptive Initiative. We know who they are and you can either access our database online or we can provide data files. We also provide a script.

Military Liaison: 6 hrs est.
The Wounded Warriors Challenge is open to any Rehab Hospital or facility serving our Wounded Warriors who have Concept 2 ergs on site. This Challenge allows participants to compete from their own facility by racing online via RowPro. We tested this last year at the Adaptive Sport Day sponsored by the Chicago Park District and the Illinois Department of Veteran\\\'s Affairs with great success. This task involves calling several vet hospitals we have worked with to encourage their participation.

Erg assembly: 3 hrs est total .Feb 23rd or 24th
Approximately 20 new ergs need to be assembled. It takes about 15min/erg to bolt on the legs. This will be done inside at a warehouse near Diversey and Western.

Erg Pick-Up, Delivery & Return: 5 hrs est Feb. 25th & 26th
Ergs need to be picked up from a designated site and delivered by 4pm on Feb 25th to Chicago State University. After the event, the ergs need to be returned to their owners by 7/8 p.m. Feb. 26th CIRC covers the van rental.

Pre-event Set Up: 4 hrs est. Feb.25th
The set-up team meets at CSU at 4 pm to begin set up. We are generally finished by 7/8 p.m.

Event Day: 5 hr blocks Feb. 26th
There are 2-volunteer blocks: 7 am to 12 noon and volunteers arrive at 7am with tasks that range from running the Check-in Table, preparing award metals, helping Race Central, calling races, running results, monitoring the floor, emergency EMT co-ordination and assisting our Adaptive Competitors.

We run a very tight schedule and finish around 5pm at which time we spend no more than 2 hours clearing out. Again, you can sign-up on our website. http://www.chicagoindoorrowing.com/volunteers.htm
