On February 9-13, 2009 NIH ORS and NIH Recreation and Welfare Association will present "CORE" (Conditioning and Relaxation) Week at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. This five-day series of events will serve NIH employees and the public with classes and seminars on important health and fitness topics such as strength and conditioning, stress management and aerobics. Attendees will learn techniques to improve their health and will have the opportunity to try various styles of fitness classes. CORE Week at NIH is a joint effort between NIH R & W, several institutes and centers and the NIH Office of Research Services to plan this event. Local fitness studios have donated their time and services to support this NIH week as well. Members of the public are invited to join in any of the events. The kick-off event on Monday, February 9th begins at 10am in Natcher Auditorium (45 Center Drive, Bethesda MD) Each day will include two free fitness classes and talks by health and fitness experts. All events during CORE Week are free and open to the public.
