Keep Kids Active During Spring Break

It’s that time of the year when spring is in the air and a break is just around the corner. Spring break oftentimes tends to be adored by the kids and dreaded by the parents. While kids look forward to endless hours in front of the television, parents dread hearing those three little words – I. AM. BORED.  If this year finds you lacking the funds to haul everyone off to Disney World or even a local camp, don’t fret! With a little preparation, you can keep your kids both happy and active.

Numerous studies have shown that we need to keep kids active to keep them healthy, but that’s easier said than done for some over spring break. Kids tend to want to do nothing more than sleep late and “chill out” in front of a television or computer screen. And parents can be hard pressed to find something active for their kids to do, especially if they are unable to be home with them during the day.
